This is great – as we were watching Groundhog Day, my husband suggested we take a drive up to Punxsutawney to check it out. We’ll have to make a weekend trip out of it since it’s four hours a way, but it looks like a cool place to see.

Every year I’m surprised that this occurs in the state that I live in. Of course, it is 5 hours away so it’s not exactly next door.

I also wonder if the groundhog is scared of all the people and commotion – I feel bad for him/her in a way.

It’s kind of a silly tradition – Spring is coming no matter what.

I often wondered how accurate the groundhog really was, I guess 37% is pretty good for folklore. Either way you look at it Groundhog is closer to spring then say Christmas, so it is a sign of warm weather no matter how you slice it.

The trouble with that movie, apart from being funny, is that there are so many occasions when you seem to be doing the same thing all over again, it’s almost as if groundhog day really existed.

BTW, I also would like to know how accurate his predictions are?
